The Productivity Secrets of One of Fashion's Most Important VPs

In honor of Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power's new book, The Career Code: Must-Know Rules for a Strategic, Stylish, and Self-Made Career ($17), we're running an interview series featuring questions about the work lives of the most inspirational female leaders in the fashion industry. So far, we’ve tapped Sarah Rutson, Sally Singer, Jennifer Fisher, and more. Up next? Taylor Tomasi Hill.

Taylor Tomasi Hill has long been on our list of admirable women in fashion. Aside from the fact that she is quite literally one of the most inspiring street style stars in the world (proof here, here, and here), she also has an impressive résumé that includes roles at W, Teen Vogue, Marie Claire, Moda Operandi, and now Forty Five Ten—a boutique in her hometown of Dallas, Texas, where she holds the title of creative vice president and women's fashion director. She was brought onboard to help relaunch the store last year, and in her time since has successfully worked to curate a selection of products that have a distinct point of view at diversified price points (aka stylish pieces with price tags that won't make you squirm).

Now that she's settled into her new digs, we couldn't wait to pick her brain about her career, where she finds inspiration, and even what's on her lunch menu.

The Unexpected Winter Essential That Makes Me More Confident

Let me just get it out there. When it comes to winter staples, there's one you wouldn't catch me dead in. The turtleneck. In fact, up until three years ago, I legit had a vendetta against the high-neck sweaters. I thought they were stuffy, uncomfortable, and annoying (aka trying too hard). But it wasn't until I received one as a gift (meaning: free) that I decided to at least try the knit I seemed to "despise" so much.

Naturally, like many things I decided to try in life (kale and vodka martinis included), I learned to love it—so much so that after this initial bond (note the sweater in question was a gray Banana Republic sweater), I decided the once-hated item would actually become the most pivotal piece in my winter uniform.

Seriously. After testing out the look and absorbing the compliments I received from friends (humble brag), I realized I somehow felt more regal and looked more forward simply by adopting the idea of a turtleneck once and for all. Of course, a classic crewneck sweater is nice and works for specific occasions, but a turtleneck gives off that sophisticated, polished vibe without really trying. More importantly, in my case anyway, it actually made me feel 10 times more confident in my look because of its slimming qualities. The high neck detail inherently elongates the overall silhouette, giving off a longer and leaner vibe.

And I'm clearly not the only fashion person out there with an affinity for the turtleneck. For seasons, It girls and street styles stars have embraced the look as well, incorporating the winter must-have into their ensembles.

How do you feel about turtlenecks? If you haven't tested one out in awhile (but are intrigued), or if you're already on board and looking for styling tricks, keep scrolling to check out interesting ways to wear turtlenecks right now. Plus, go a bit further to shop some of my favorite styles you're bound to love just as much as I do.

This $100 Basic Will Make Your Winter Wardrobe Look Expensive

Welcome to the latest edition of a new series in which we'll cover a variety of affordable basics that we turn to time and time again. We hope that The Basics will help you to build your closet with pieces that you, too, will wear on repeat without doing harm to your bank account. We already covered the $30 pants that I consider life-changing. Next up, I'm sharing with you the $100 cashmere sweater that's making life a lot more bearable this fall and winter.

The search for the best high-quality cashmere sweater that doesn't require half of your cold-weather wardrobe budget can seem like a fruitless treasure hunt. While there's plenty of affordable cashmere out there, you may be faced with the frustration of it wrinkling and pilling with the first wear. Well, rest assured that your search ends here. Everlane recently reduced the prices of its vast cashmere collection to reflect fallen manufacturing costs. The brand's mission statement calls for transparency in its pricing, which the customer undoubtedly benefits from. I'm particularly smitten with the brand's The Cashmere Crew sweater in camel (the color that makes everything look expensive). For just $100, the number of times I've worn this versatile sweater is well worth the Benjamin. Want to know exactly why I recommend adding one to your cart ASAP?

Keep scrolling to the eight reasons it's the basic that will be your winter wardrobe's workhorse, and shop a few outfits that prove its versatility.

The Styling Trick Lily Aldridge Borrowed From Chrissy Teigen

While we've already shared with you our favorite looks from the Victoria's Secret Fashion show from yesterday, we're going to let you in on a secret. The style at this Paris event was just as good on the streets as on the runway. Our case in point is Lily Aldridge, who wore one of the edgiest looks we've ever seen on her. We're totally here for it. She borrowed a little styling trick from Chrissy Teigen to make a revealing top work for daytime. The model styled a mesh top with a bustier and covered up on top with a cool camo jacket. She also opted for lace-up leather pants from Unravel and a tall pair of 3.1 Phillip Lim platform boots. The mix of mesh, camo, and leather here is definitely pretty edgy, but going all in on this ensemble totally worked out for her. Here's hoping we continue to see similarly daring ensembles from her in the future, because we're loving it.

For the first time, The Kooples is releasing a holiday collection that's made up of party-worthy separates and fun dresses just in time for all the holiday cheer on your calendar. 3 Holiday Wardrobe Staples Every Fashion Girl Owns

Nowadays being awarded "best dressed" for the holidays doesn’t mean wearing a frilly, over-the-top dress covered in bows. While it’s easy to get caught up in the festivities, this year we’re noticing fashion girls are doing away with typical party pieces in favor of essentials that you can mix and match. “I prefer wearing classic items over trendy because I like things that’ll last me multiple seasons,” says Mara Ferriera of M Loves M. “There’s a way to style staple pieces with a festive feel without needing to buy a whole new wardrobe.”

With that in mind, we’re taking stock of the three essential pieces you need to carry you through the holiday festivities—and beyond. The best part? You can grab all of these items from the Who What Wear collection. Keep reading for the 3 staple items to add to your holiday rotation.

3 Universally Attractive Outfits, According to Science

When it comes to the outfits that set you apart, turning to science may seem like a surprising choice, but the facts don't lie. Exclusive: What It Takes to Be the Victoria's Secret Show Stylist

WWW UK: And what about now? Is there anything in this particular show that has been a major feat to produce, outside of the Fantasy Bra?

SNA: I think one of the most challenging things this year for us has been [adjusting to] a slight change—an adaptation of a theme, where we had to re-create eight looks in The Road Ahead [section] and creating the "opening wing." We wanted it to be a dragon that wrapped around her body, [so] the challenge for something like that is the weight, the distribution of the weight, how it moves, and then making it look light as a feather.

WWW UK: So you have probably learnt some bizarre skills over the years doing this job then, right?

SNA: Did I ever think I’d be designing a wing? No! Did I ever think I’d be thinking about the logistics of something like that? No! Also, [there are] just so many layers… commissioning artisans, being really specific about you want and not being apologetic about being specific. Because sometimes I think the nature of us Brits is to be quite "Oh, I’m sorry!"

The One Thing Emma Watson Won't Wear in Beauty and the Beast

Who’s excited about the upcoming remake of Beauty and the Beast? As you may know, none other than Emma Watson will star as the iconic Belle. We’ve already been privy to a sneak peek of the costumes and have reveled in the first amazing trailer. Now we also have some deeper intel about Belle’s outfits, courtesy of the movie’s costume designer, Jacqueline Durran.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Durran explained Watson had very specific ideas about what Belle would—and would not—be wearing in the film. “For Emma, it was important that the dress was light and that it had a lot of movement,” Durran told EW. “In Emma’s reinterpretation, Belle is an active princess. She did not want a dress that was corseted or that would impede her in any way.” We’re all about this modern take on the story—girl power, anyone?—and we’re counting down the days until the March 17, 2017, premiere date.

SJP Was a Street Style Fan Way Before She Became Carrie Bradshaw

There’s perhaps no better backdrop for a Sarah Jessica Parker photograph as a New York City skyline. So naturally that’s exact where she found herself for the cover shoot of InStyle’s January 2017 issue. And while SJP will always be a quintessential New Yorker and fashion icon in our eyes, in this feature she’s also setting some records straight about her real buyers' habits and what style meant to her before she was synonymous with Carrie Bradshaw.

"I dress based on what I have. I’m not a huge shopper,” Parker told Instyle’s new EIC Laura Brown in the issue. “I have a pretty standard wardrobe, though I’ve got wonderful shoes.” And much like ourselves, the current Divorce star and footwear entrepreneur also divulged how she once looked to the streets to find her inspiration long before social media was a thing. “Street imagery and girls on the subway more than anything,” were her influences, she says. “I was like, 'How can I do that? How can I afford to do that? What’s my version of that?’ Honestly, thrift stores played such a huge part in my life before Sex and the City.

While the full interview will be available once the issue hits newsstands on December 9, take a peek at what to expect from the newest photos of NYC's forever fashion girl, below.

This Is the Perfect Way to Wear Ugg Boots to the Airport

There's a lot to look forward to during the holiday season, but trudging through super crowded airports isn't at the top of many people's lists. Especially when you factor in the chilly weather, we're especially hankering for ultra-comfy, fuss-free travel outfits this time of year. Enter: Marion Cotillard's perfect look.

Spotted at the airport in Berlin, the pregnant actress donned a colorful sweater, oversized white coat, and—the pièce de résistance—a pair of cozy Ugg boots. What to Give Every Man in Your Life (From a Real Dude)

Some men are incredibly easy to shop for and upfront about what they're loving right now (FYI, this male editor falls in this group—if you want his list, just ask). But let's be real: Many dudes are the complete opposite and end every question of "What do you want this year?" with "Whatever, I don't care." In moments like these, it's easy to just get them that same old tie or pack of socks like you do every year, but what's the fun in that? There are actually a slew of other gift ideas the men in your life will actually love (regardless if they tell you in advance or not). To fill us in on what guys really want, we tapped menswear expert and U.S. editor of Mr Porter Dan Rookwood to spill on what to give the main men in your life this season—everything from cool accessories to must-have grooming kits to athletic go-tos.

Go on to find the perfect present and impress that guy "who doesn't want anything." While many of the items coming your way are higher-end, check out a range of gift ideas we've assembled too.

This Is What Lululemon's New Leggings Have in Common With Chanel

It seems like every brand these days is designing its take on leggings to get in on the craze, but Lululemon won the world over years ago and continues to up its game with new special releases. The brand hired its first-ever creative director, Lee Holman, one year ago, which explains the newfound focus on design. Case in point: Lululemon's latest collaboration, named Featherlight, is of the decidedly high-fashion artistic variety.

According to WWD, Holman found Brazilian textile artist Janaïna Milheiro at a couture fair (sign us up for one of those!) and asked her to create three prints for the brand. Says WWD, "Milheiro is best known for her intricate work weaving feathers and silks to create detailed patterns and textures," and she's worked with heavy-hitters like Chanel, Valentino, and Proenza Schouler (among others).

The collection features three pairs of leggings with the different black-and-white hand-cut feather prints on the brand's signature Nulux fabric. When else will you get an opportunity to buy a pair of leggings with craftmanship worthy of Chanel for under $130?

This Instagram Account Proves Zara Addiction Is Real

When it comes to shopping at Zara, we'd be the first to admit we have some kind of addiction (well, step number one is admitting you have a problem). And we realize we're not alone in this situation, as we know plenty of you have the same problem. Happily (or should that be unhappily?), this issue has been documented for us.

In fact, thanks to finding out about the Zara Addiction Instagram account, we're more than aware that this is a far-reaching issue that is global in its effect. The Zara Addiction account has over 300,000 followers and showcases other people's best Zara looks and their obsession to the high-street store.

Congrats! This Mean Girls Actress Is Pregnant

Congratulations are in order: Amanda Seyfried is pregnant! She's expecting her first child with fiancé Thomas Sadoski, her co-star in the movie The Last Word, debuting next year. People magazine reports that the Mean Girls actress confirmed the news at a press event for Givenchy's new fragrance. (How chic is that?)

You may remember that Seyfried was spotted wearing a minimalistic engagement ring back in September. If her fuss-free approach to her ring is any indication, perhaps we're in for simple, laid-back maternity style. However, for her baby bump debut at the event, she went for quite a bold look with a sheer black dress featuring a curve-hugging silhouette and short hemline. Whatever route she decides to go with for her maternity wear, it's safe to say we're excited for the Mean Girl–turned-mom.

You're About to See Olivia Palermo in These Shoes

Freda Salvador is a shoe brand that in-the-know fashion girls obsess over. Gigi Hadid and Olivia Palermo are fans of the stylish leather boots, mules, and more. Now the brand is debuting a new collection you and all of your most stylish friends are sure to obsess over. In collaboration with jewelry line Anndra Neen, the footwear brand has created three styles, a boot, a mule, and a sandal, adorned with cool hardware designed by Neen and made in Mexico City.

The design teams came together after a chance meeting in New York led to a connection about their shared interest in artist Freda Khalo. This Is What Every Fashion Girl Is Shopping for Today

Net-a-Porter's latest highly-anticipated capsule collection is a very special one, as it's currently every fashion girl's must-have brand and it's in celebration of the holidays. Attico's 6-piece holiday collection, which is exclusive to the e-tailer, is a glamorous take on the classic Hollywood film stars of the 1930s. As designers (and street style stars) Giorgia Tordini and Gilda Ambrosio told WWD of their inspiration for the line, "We fantasized about very glamorous parties and drew inspiration from icons of the Golden Era of Hollywood: Marlene Dietrich, Lauren Bacall, Ginger Rogers, Ava Gardner, Anna May Wong, and Sofia Loren."

The line features the Italian duo's signature take on boudoir dressing, with embellished robes, a sheer gown designed to be worn over jeans, and a stunning slip dress. But the standout piece is a pair of sparkly silver and gold sequined and beaded jeans which we predict every fashion girl will add to her cart first. It's a taste of more to come for the designers, as denim will be a new category for them in their S/S 17 collection.

While much of the collection is already sold out (typical with this sought-after brand), most sizes are marked as "more stock coming soon", so be sure to add your favorites to your Net-a-Porter wish list to be promptly alerted of restocks.

The Absolute Best Shoes for the Snow

When you’re purchasing a pair of snow boots, it’s important to look for a few key details. 1) A sole with a solid grip material (no one wants to slip and slide on a fresh pile of powdery snow). Sorel seals nearly all of its boots with a seam-sealed waterproof construction feature.  2) Cozy lining (to keep your toes warm, obviously). And 3) quality material (a good pair of snow boots should last you season after season). To ease your winter weather footwear hunt, we’re sharing the top picks to stock up on before the next snow storm hits.

The last and our favorite detail to keep in mind when searching for shoes for the snow, is to find a pair that most importantly includes all three of the above features but also lends a bit of style. Which today’s options prove you don’t have to risk your style to keep your feet warm during winter.

Emily Ratajkowski Is Down With Fall's Biggest Color Trend

After seeing the hue all over the runways, we declared all the way back in June that rusty browns were going be the biggest color trend of fall. Olivia Palermo and Dakota Johnson have already been spotted in it this season, and now it looks like the next style star is here to show her own support for the look. Emily Ratajkowski stepped out for a bit of shopping this week in what can only be described as a walking fall color palette (in the best way possible).

The model wore a camel-toned suede studded jacket from A.L.C. paired with flared pants in a slightly darker, almost reddish shade. Her Salvatore Ferragamo calf-hair bag and embroidered Alberta Ferretti mules, too, flaunted accents of similar muddy neutrals. As if her look weren't cool enough already, she broke one of the biggest rules in fashion and made it look good by wearing a black crop top with a nearly all-brown outfit. Normally, we'd advise against mixing browns and blacks together, but the fact that she played with such luxe textures helped her pull it off with ease. After a combination this good, we can't wait to see who tries out the color trend next.

These 2 Fashion Brands Are the Biggest on Social Media Right Now

In the last couple of years that Alessandro Michele has been at the helm of Gucci, the world has seen major changes from the brand. Anyone can spot them when they look at a runway show filled with quirky, cool, nostalgic-meets-modern designs. But the brand has got the numbers to back up its shift, as well. Yes, sales, but also, as we spotted today, the Italian label has climbed to the number one spot on Digital IQ Index’s annual fashion report.

With this news, Gucci has claimed the highest ranking for digital performance, including e-commerce and social media, by a luxury fashion brand in U.S. As of last year, the same honor was awarded to Burberry, who slid slightly to number two for 2016. However, as Fashionista reports, such a shift is not quite as huge as it seems: Gucci’s Digital IQ was recorded as a 145, with Burberry at 144.

Each of these industry heavy hitters is making its contribution to change the fashion and digital landscape through see-now, buy-now models; influencer partnerships; and simple attention paid to what the current fashion lover is obsessed with. And considering Burberry's 8 million and Gucci's 11 million audiences on Instagram, chances are you're already following both.

This French Outfit-Choosing Trick Is Genius

Caroline de Maigret is the epitome of chill French style. The Chanel ambassador, veteran street style star, model, and author just hosted the inaugural Chanel Style Sessions workshop to mark the launch of CdMdiary.com, "a lifestyle portal narrated by de Maigret, in partnership with Chanel," as reported by WWD (more on the site here).

The workshop focused on de Maigret's Chanel experiences and favorite pieces throughout the years, and, naturally, her best Parisian style tips. One that stood out to us was her explanation of her genius outfit-choosing method. She said, “When I look in the mirror, I avoid looking at my face so as not to let emotions get in the way. I pretend I’m a stylist and focus on the body detached from the head, funny as that sounds, and then I’m like, Okay, try rolling up the sleeves or adding a belt, little twists to make the look a bit more interesting.”

If you didn't before realize that emotions were likely playing into your decision to wear something or not, make note of your expression in the mirror the next time you're trying something on, and then the next time, instead focus on how the outfit looks on you (sans emotion).

The Olsens Love These Controversial Shoes—Do You Wear Them?

When it comes to shoes, we know our readers have lots of opinions—and we certainly don't blame you. From "ugly" sandals to clunky loafers, certain styles spark plenty of debate amongst fashion girls. Flip-flops are also on that list: Are they a faux pas, or are they perfect for casual days? Chrissy Teigen, for one, refuses to wear them, but others are advocates for them. We may never get a final verdict, but Ashley Olsen's most recent outfit might convince you to go for it.

Spotted in St. Bart's, Olsen teamed her flip-flops with a breezy white dress and oversized sunglasses. (Her sister Mary-Kate, on the other hand, likes to style the shoes with a white T-shirt and black trousers.) Ashley isn't just a fan of flip-flops for vacation—while home in New York City last month, she wore them with treggings and an oversized sweater. With the Olsen sisters' stamp of approval, we're dying to know: Are you for or against flip-flops?

Zara Just Dropped Its Winter Coat Edit

Right now, at the time of typing, there is a frost settling across many parts of the country. It is, quite frankly, pretty cold. But the shopping gods have heard our chattering teeth and have bestowed upon us the latest coat edit from Zara. And, yes, you're going to want to shop it all, thanks to the high-street store's dedication to the latest trends and unfailing ability to give us exactly what we need: functional pieces that are as chic as anything.

There is one silhouette, however, that is particularly popular in the shop's edit this year, and that's the more masculine cut. From camel coats to longline navy pieces of outerwear, there is a clear inclination toward more boyish looks. But if that's not for you, fear not, as there are plenty of other styles that we know you'll love. From the cozy plaid coat to the faux-fur short contrast jacket, there are many other Zara coats to shop right now. Take that, cold weather.

Jennifer Lawrence Wore the Coziest Red Carpet Look Last Night

If you described an outfit as part fairy tale and part cozy wares, it might sound like something out of a children’s game of make-believe. But at a photocall for her latest film, Jennifer Lawrence’s ensemble was that very combination—and it completely hit the mark.

Dressed in Dior (naturally) the actress paired a full tulle skirt emblazoned with stars with a graphic sweater in a coordinating motif. Though the look is plucked right from the runway, it’s still an unexpected one for a red carpet as you don’t typically see a sweater in such a formal setting. Still, it’s a welcome change since the knitted piece tones down the fantasy vibes of Lawrence’s skirt.

If you're a fan of other contradicting twosomes—the T-shirt-and–slinky slip or party dress–and–leather jacket combos, for instance—this style tip is the next to try this winter.

This Is How Fashion Girls Wear Leggings in the Winter

When you think of bundling up for winter, leggings are probably not the first piece of clothing that comes to mind. However, Victoria's Secret Angel and legging outfit aficionado Elsa Hosk just proved this staple is indeed an excellent choice for the season and can be just as stylish as it is in warmer months.

Hosk paired her black leggings with a bright pink sweatshirt (which she casually tucked into the waistband of her leggings), a bomber jacket, an oversize scarf, and, of course, cool athletic sneakers. The key is to choose a longline bomber jacket for extra coverage, which makes leggings a more accessible choice for outside of the gym. The combination of these pieces makes for a warm, comfortable outfit that you can easily add layers to for especially frigid winter days.

This Classic '90s Outfit Combo Has Officially Made a Comeback

There's no denying that the '90s has had a big impact on how we dressed in 2016. It's not just because we were (and still are) obsessed with chokers. We also saw a return of yin and yang jewellery, thanks to Alexa Chung's penchant for the design, which is arguably the most '90s thing to wear right now, short of doing your hair up in those little buns à la Bjork circa 'It's Oh So Quiet'. And that's all before we've even discussed the ubiquitousness of the slip dress.

But now, thanks to actress Naomie Harris, we have yet another nostalgic trend to wear. This time it's the classic dress over trousers look, which we'll be more than happy to sport at our office Christmas party. But it's not just for people who work in fashion, there is a simple way to wear this look: get your favorite dress and put it over your favorite pair of skinny jeans. And you're done. Yes, it really is as easy as that, and yes, it does look great on anyone.

You Need to See This Celeb's Black Wedding Dress

Of course, there's nothing wrong with going the traditional route for your wedding dress, but out-of-the-ordinary bridal looks never fail to pique our interest. For instance, we were obsessed when one stylist eschewed a dress in favor of a jeans-and-lacy-top combo, and when a Victoria's Secret model opted for an entirely sheer dress for her nuptials. Now, you can add Girls star Zosia Mamet to that list of unconventional brides.

Vogue profiled the actress's wedding, and we immediately zeroed in on her curve-hugging black gown. Mamet told the magazine the story behind the dress, revealing that her friends had taken her to a department store to search for options. "We must have tried on 40 dresses," she told Vogue. "I wanted something comfortable, and I didn’t really want to wear white. The dress I ultimately chose was by Givenchy, and it was the last one I tried on—the minute it went over my head, both my friends gasped." Once you take a peek at the gown, we think you'll have the same reaction.

Here's Your First Look at the Most Exclusive Calendar of the Year

Last year, Annie Leibovitz took the famously provocative Pirelli calendar in a new direction, choosing to photograph fully clothed women, with the exception of a playful Amy Schumer portrait. And for this year's 44th edition, Peter Lindbergh also gave the calendar a new theme, not just by shooting mostly women over 40, but by keeping all the photos unretouched.

The famed photographer explained at the international press launch that the 2017 calendar "conveys personality, sensitivity and the guts to be yourself." Lindbergh tapped 14 of Hollywood's leading ladies to star in the black-and-white calendar, titled "Emotional," by capturing something stronger than perfection. He says his goal was "not to shoot a calendar about perfect bodies but to capture sensitivity and emotion, laying bare the souls of the women in the images, rendering them more naked [than] a nude."

The 40-plus images in the calendar feature actresses Jessica Chastain, Penélope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, Rooney Mara, Helen Mirren, Julianne Moore, Lupita Nyong'o, Charlotte Rampling, Léa Seydoux, Uma Thurman, Alicia Vikander, Kate Winslet, Robin Wright, and Zhang Ziyi in addition to Moscow State University political theory professor Anastasia Ignatova, as special guest. In true Lindbergh fashion, the makeup was natural, the styling was kept to a minimum, and the portraits were, of course, beautiful.

We Asked Guys on Bumble How They Feel About Leggings

As far as clothing items go, leggings tend to be pretty divisive. Some women sing their praises, wearing them everywhere and anywhere, while others shudder at the thought of donning them outside the gym.

It's less clear, however, where men stand on the issue (or, frankly, if they've given the matter nearly as much thought). As proponents of inclusivity (and a very good laugh) we resorted to one of our favorite tactics to find out: crowdsourcing their sartorial opinions on a dating app.

Last time we hit up Tinder to gauge dudes' temperature on culottes, so we switched it up with Bumble this time, but the results were equally hilarious. Scroll down to find out what they had to say...

Dakota Johnson Loves These Chill Outfit Formulas

Some celebrities have a naturally chill aesthetic when it comes to putting together an outfit, and Dakota Johnson is most definitely at the top of the heap. Johnson's effortless outfits are cool and comfortable, even when she's dressed up for a night out or an event. What gives an outfit that "chill" je ne sais quoi is its polished simplicity. Instead of sweats and sneakers, think slouchy sweaters, vintage-inspired denim, and sleek loafers.

As Johnson has proven time and time again, a chill outfit is versatile, quick, and a cinch to put together, requiring unfussy pieces that are likely already hanging in your closet. To celebrate the actress's cool-girl chillness, we pulled nine of her looks from the past year that embody the type of outfit everyone wants to wear right now. As a bonus, every one of them is perfect for the busy holiday season—because who has time to outfit-plan when there are a million gifts to buy and parties to attend?

For fashion editors like us, it can be an exhilarating experience to discover a new designer whose work we love. Though our day-to-day is typically saturated with plenty of options to obsess over, there’s something special about identifying a specific item or aesthetic that resonates with your personal style. I recently caught up with Pyo over email to discuss the brand that—if the images below are any indication—is set to be a major success.

The Top Denim Styles Every 20-Year-Old Should Own

Let us preface this by getting it out there: In no possible way should age really ever influence your style. If you feel passionate about a certain look or trend, you should embrace it no matter how old you are. That being said, there are clearly certain items that tend to be more favorable among specific age groups. Think about it — women probably aren't wearing the exact same things at 50 as they were when they were 30. Furthermore, someone at 25 is most likely not testing out the same look as someone that's 15.

When it comes to jeans specifically, there are actually certain styles we think you should invest in based on your age. Think of these suggestions as the foundation of your denim offering, with the idea that you'll continue to build upon them as you get older.

Curious about the top three denim styles we think every 20-year-old should have in her arsenal? Keep scrolling to learn more—and shop each trend, too. And by all means, if you're not 20 and love what you see—wear these styles proudly as well.

This Style Trick Makes Your Jackets Look Cooler

It’s often the most obvious styling tricks that prove to be the most effective—the ones that have been under your nose all along. Such is the case for our most recent observation and the subject of today’s post. We’ve been spending a lot of time combing through the vast street style galleries from the S/S 17 fashion weeks, and sprinkled throughout every city, women paid close attention to the way they rolled, layered, and distributed their sleeves. More specifically, the bottom layer was tugged out to create an elongating look.

Obviously this is no new tip, but as previously stated, we tend to forget the most classic tricks that can serve us best. To get a better grasp of how to accomplish this look and why it really is so amazing, we gathered a ton of street style examples.

See below for our favorite outerwear trick this season, and tell us if you’re into it in the comments.

They're called the "Patch Pocket Maverick," an of-the-moment wide leg, high-rise number with cool 70s-inspired front pockets.
