How to Get Mud Out of Clothing in 6 Simple Steps

Maybe you're going to Glastonbury, or maybe you just had an unfortunate encounter involving a mucky sidewalk and a fresh pair of jeans—either way, you're probably looking for an easy way to get mud out of your clothing.

Fortunately, icky though it is, mud tends to be an easier stain to deal with than red wine or oil. And if you just came from a music festival, hopefully, you weren't wearing an expensive silk dress (if you did, stop right here, and consult your local dry cleaner before attempting anything DIY, lest you make it worse).

For denim, cotton, and other hardy fabrics, however, read on for a foolproof technique to make your muddy clothes look brand-new again, and shop rain boots to help protect your clothing in the future.

DIY Monogramming? Yeah, It's a Thing

Do you find yourself always looking for that one piece no one else will have? Something unique? True to you? And maybe even kind of sweet? We have just the answer, and the good news is you can do it from the comfort of your own home—DIY monogramming. (Yes, it's a thing.) Since I am no expert on the matter in any way, shape, or form, I decided to turn to an expert.

"Embroidery is literally the easiest way to monogram. It only takes patience! Draw your letters with a pencil on a white tee, and start with a back stitch. All you need is thread, a needle, and a pair of scissors—that's it," says Janis Munz of Janis Embroidery. And if she says it's possible, then it's definitely a case worth hearing out. To give you some background on Janis, while growing up in Paris, France, she would spend hours practicing embroidery with her nanny. But it wasn't until later in her life, between jobs and with some extra time on her hands, that she began stitching tattoo-inspired designs onto her favorite wardrobe pieces and from there created a business around it.

I am not crafty in any sense of the word, and the concept of DIY monogramming seemed extremely foreign to me, but Janis assured me with her step-by-step guide that it's actually pretty easy. By the end of her mini tutorial, you'll be able to monogram and embroider as many items in your closet as your heart desires. In other words, your wardrobe is about to get 10 times more exciting. All you have to do is follow the instructions below.

Go on to find out just how simple DIY monogramming is and shop T-shirts fit for your first tries.

Your September Horoscope Is Here—Consider It Your Guide to Fall

Happy September, everyone! We find ourselves with the sun in Virgo and an active and amazing month ahead after the solar eclipse (in Leo) of August. Virgo emphasizes balance of all kinds: being meticulous about our work and balancing out our daily routines. Virgo also encourages us to help out the people in our lives or even to be of service to strangers.

For September, taking care of our vessels will also be key because when we feel our best, we do our best. The full moon in Pisces on September 20 asks us to balance out the mundane with the spiritual, so even as you are hyper focused on moving ahead this month, be sure to add in some yoga, meditation, or journaling when you need a little time-out. Mercury will be going direct on September 5 from Leo back into Virgo, so we will experience a lot of forward movement with that.

I Let a French Girl Judge My Style—Here Are Her Tips

Scrolling through the Instagram feeds of French trendsetters like Jeanne Damas or Anne-Laure Mais, it's easy to see there's just something so effortless about the way they pull off Parisian style. As a native Californian (and current New Yorker), I feel a bit like an actress in costume when testing the waters of French-girl style. The outfits that look easy on a native feel contrived when worn by someone attempting to look the part.

Instead of simply trying to re-create the French look from head to toe, I figured I would turn to an expert to help me integrate the French aesthetic into my own style. So I reached out to Mélanie Viallon, chief creative officer at Les Lunes to serve up some advice. Viallon is a French native who currently resides in the U.S., meaning she's especially qualified to compare and contrast fashion trends.

Below, she evaluated five photos from my Instagram and relayed ways to incorporate a bit of Parisian flair into my look without totally abandoning my signature style. With any luck, her tiny tricks may just come in handy in your own quest for that je ne se quois we all aspire to achieve. Check out her tips, and then shop a few of our favorite French girl–inspired pieces now!

The Average Price of a Celebrity Engagement Ring in 2017 Is Jaw-Dropping

Engagement rings have always been a subject of acute fascination. They're so beautiful and symbolize so much that it's not surprising that we place such great importance on them. Combine that fascination with the world's inherent interest in what celebrities wear and who they're in a relationship with and you have a recipe for off-the-charts intrigue. Fittingly, as Brides just reported, London-based diamond retailer 77 Diamonds just released their annual report on the biggest celebrity engagement ring trends. For 2017, they studied everything pertaining to rings received this year, including the metal (yellow gold), diamond shape (emerald), and, of course, the average price of the rings...Any guesses?

If you're thinking anything less than $1 million, you're pretty far off. The average price of new celebrity engagement rings in 2017 is a cool $1.29 million. That said, the average carat weight has gone down from what it was three years ago, which 77 Diamonds says indicates that celebs are spending more on diamond quality than size.

In the spirit of celebrity engagements, read on to see a few of our favorite celebrity engagement Instagram reveals, and head over to 77 Diamonds to see the rest of the study.

Kim Kardashian West Transforms Into Her #1 Style Icon in This New Shoot

Kim Kardashian West is gracing yet another September cover. Earlier this week, her Interview Magazine cover with her daughter North West was revealed, where she was deemed, “America’s new First Lady.” And just yesterday, her latest cover was unveiled, where she is, once again, transforming into someone else, but this time, she’s channeling her number one style icon. Any guesses who it could be?

For the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, Kim Kardashian West is paying homage to her fashion icon, Cher. With her long, sleek hair, dark eyeliner, and a barely-there, sparkly dress, Kim’s resemblance to the singer and actress is uncanny.

Kim is known for making headlines for her risk-taking fashion choices, opting for sheer, see-through pieces, often sporting the "naked dressing" trend. And in the interview with the magazine, Kim opens up about the person who has inspired her to take such fashion risks.

"She’s always had the sickest style, I’m obsessed with her,” Kim says of Cher. She adds, “To think that she was wearing these sheer dresses in the ’70s and just what people must have thought back then.” But Cher never let other people's opinions stop her from wearing what she wanted. And Kim follows this same philosophy when it comes to dressing herself. “I just keep doing me,” Kim explains.

Scroll down to see the stunning images, then head to Harper's Bazaar Arabia to read the full interview.

Congrats! A New Royal Baby Just Arrived—Get the Details

There's a new royal baby in town: Princess Sofia of Sweden's brand new son. The stylish royal—who was the epitome of chic throughout her pregnancy—has given birth to a new bundle of joy, whose name is being kept a secret for now. The baby joins his older brother, one-year-old Prince Alexander, creating an adorable family of four.

"The Office of The Marshal of the Realm is delighted to announce that HRH Princess Sofia gave birth to a healthy child Thursday the 31 August 2017 at 11:24 a.m. at Danderyd Hospital," the royal family said in a statement. "Both mother and child are in good health."

As every royal aficionado knows, Princess Sofia married Prince Carl Philip in June 2015 at the Royal Palace of Stockholm. Fittingly, the princess chose a Swedish designer to dream up her wedding dress: Ida Sjöstedt. She chose a beautiful long-sleeve lace gown that became an instant classic. Congratulations to the couple!

Should We All Button Our Jackets the Kendall Jenner Way?

Kendall Jenner has an insane closet, so it’s no surprise she’s on our watch list when it comes to celebrity trend spotting. She’s spearheaded major fashion trends that you’re most likely sporting today (from athleisure to naked dressing), and she always finds a way to make wardrobe basics look incredibly chic.

Just yesterday, while out with her older sister, Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall styled the Canadian tuxedo with a pair of sleek black ankle booties. But there was something different about her ensemble that immediately caught our eye. If you look closely, you’ll notice something is a little off about how Kendall buttoned her jean jacket.

But we’re calling it: she’s officially found the new, fashion-forward way to button a jacket. It seems as though the model has purposely missed a few buttons, transforming a traditional jean jacket into one with a high, asymmetric neckline that hangs slightly longer on one side.

So next time you're looking for a seriously simple trick to instantly up the cool factor of your jacket, take note from Kendall and miss a few buttons.

Scroll down to see Kendall Jenner's complete look, and to shop some denim jackets with which you can test out Kendall's new styling trick.

The Best Way to Tie a Shirt Around Your Waist

Just like our obsession with French-girl style, we're always searching for ways to emulate our favorite models and their impeccable off-duty style. We often find ourselves wondering how they make jeans and a T-shirt look so stylish, and how they can wear leggings and still look polished. Today we're demystifying another staple styling move off-duty models love: tying a shirt around their waist.

Models Taylor Hill, Behati Prinsloo, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley love wearing button-down shirts tied around their waists for a low-key going-out look or even to the airport (it's genius for layering). It's effortless, it's laid-back, but one thing it's not is sloppy. The best way to pull off the casual look like a model is by tying a shirt around your waist with a pair of dark skinny jeans or, if you're traveling, black leggings. This is the number one styling trick for your shirt, as a dark, streamlined silhouette will balance out the printed shirt. Be sure to keep it simple up top as well with a plain T-shirt or tank top.

It's confirmed: This is the model-approved way to tie a shirt around your waist. Click through the gallery below to see how they're styling the trend, and then shop our favorite button-downs—from plaid to camo and denim—to try it for yourself.

Here's What It Girls Wore in the 1970s

Flipping through your mom's high school yearbook is like stepping into a time capsule. What women wore to Algebra and English is not the same as the True Religion jeans and Abercrombie tanks you wore in the early aughts. But, as we know that the past serves as a constant source of inspiration for the present, peeking back at 1970s fashion can be both enlightening and entertaining.

Back when the Rolling Stones were singing about wild horses, women were slipping into colorful mini dresses, wildly-high platforms, and head-to-toe psychedelic prints. And while these days, we've seen pops of these trends come back again, the modern iterations don't quite capture the same feel. So what were It-girls wearing in the 70s? Check out the photos below for a look!

A Surprising Trick for Wearing Fall Dresses With Boots

We’re going to let you in on a surprising secret for styling fall dresses with boots. One of the fashion girl–approved ways to style the pairing is a simple formula of a long dress with over-the-knee boots. While the combo might sound counterintuitive, it really works. Ahead, we’re breaking down why.

First, it helps you ease into the cooler months without pushing dresses to the back of your closet or piling on too many layers. Over-the-knee boots always do the job when it comes to keeping you warm. Next, it solves the dilemma of how to wear the tricky boot style. While over-the-knee boots are a cool option, it can sometimes be a challenge making them feel appropriate. Look no further than French fashion It girl Caroline de Maigret to see just how cool the outfit formula is.

Keep reading to see how to style them.

I Swapped My Expensive Workout Clothes for Forever 21 (and I'm a Fan)

Welcome back to another one of my Forever 21 style swapping sessions. A little over two years ago, I shared my outfits from when I swapped all my clothes for Forever 21 for a week, and since it was a hit, I figured I'd give it another go, only this time, I'd test out the fast-fashion brand's activewear selection. I'll admit it was a slight push to motivate myself to get back at the gym, but I've also had my eye on a few of the brand's workout sets, so it seemed like a win-win.

To motivate myself even further, I enlisted Bryan Clemons, an L.A.-based celeb trainer, to train me for the week while I tested out the five different Forever 21 looks. From the variety of sports bras and leggings I selected, I was pleasantly surprised by the fit of each item. For me, all the pieces fit true to size. Although I approved each outfit, there was one clear winner in my book: the lace-up set. I loved how it fit, especially the leggings, because the material held me in tight, and the design was super high-rise, which I always prefer. There's no doubt that I'll wear each piece again, and I'll keep my eye out for more matching sets from the fast-fashion brand now that I know how they look and fit IRL.

Scroll down to see and shop each affordable set from Forever 21.

Does This Deleted Scene From The Devil Wears Prada Change Everything?

Raise your hand if you know more quotes from The Devil Wears Prada than you care to admit. Yep, that's just about everyone. ("Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.") While we patiently wait in vain for a sequel 11 years later, we finally have something to quell our appetite: a deleted scene we've never seen before.

Refinery29 pointed out the clip, which was tweeted by a Buzzfeed writer. "I'm just seeing this deleted scene from The Devil Wears Prada for the first time, and honestly it changed the whole movie for me," he wrote. The scene shows Miranda Priestly's rude husband insulting someone, and Anne Hathaway's character, Andy Sachs, steps in to save the day. Miranda then mouths a "thank-you" to Andy.

So what does it change about the movie? Refinery29 explained that it portrays Miranda as more sympathetic, which contrasts the harsh personality we saw in the final cut. "No wonder they deleted it. Undermined Miranda's whole ice queen narrative," one person tweeted. Do you agree?

Wearing a Dress With Pants Is Officially a Thing

It's true. Whether you like it or not—though we seriously hope you do—wearing a dress over pants has officially joined the ranks of other fashion norms such as styling a jacket only over your shoulders or pairing socks with heels. And while there are countless ways to go about rocking the duo, our personal favorite (and seemingly that of the street style set as well) has to be the classic denim route. Why jeans? Well, aside from the fact that we all have them, the contrast of casual denim with an inherently feminine dress comes together perfectly to form an eye-catching (and easy!) look.

See just what we mean below, and of course, shop each outfit for yourself.

J.Crew Shoppers Are Losing It Over These Camo Pants

In case you haven't noticed, despite the recent changes in management, J.Crew is killing it with their new arrivals for fall. We've been regularly perusing them in hopes that we don't miss anything, but sometimes pieces cause such a frenzy for the high-profile brand that they aren't in stock for long. The buzzy piece in question is a pair of skinny camo cargo pants that have racked up a slew of ultra-enthusiastic reviews since their debut earlier this month and just sold out in every single size.

You're probably thinking skinny camo cargo pants? right about now, but the print is indeed a trend again (the product description agrees that it's "totally a thing right now"), as are cargo pants. And J.Crew clearly got the combination of trends right, as reviewers enthusiastically remarked, "My new favorite pants!" and "Don't wait for a sale!" and "So versatile, comfortable, stylish, and slimming."

Hopefully, J.Crew gets the message and will restock the ultra-popular pants, but in the meantime, check them out below and shop a few other J.Crew camo pieces.

Proof That Delilah Belle Hamlin Isn't Playing It Safe With Her Style

It's true that we'll forever fawn over elegant, timeless looks—but there's always the flip side of the coin in which we celebrate fearless fashion. (It should be fun above all, right?) Proving she has a penchant for the latter, up-and-coming model Delilah Belle Hamlin stepped out for a VMAs after-party in a number that definitely got her noticed.

While the underwear-as-outerwear look can be interpreted in various ways, Delilah sported a very literal take with a Bordelle corset comprising the entire top half of her look. As it goes, that wasn't enough—she finished her ensemble with voluminous pants and of-the-moment white boots for a flashy and event-ready effect. At just 19 years old, Delilah is doing as teenagers should: experimenting with her look and having a great time while doing so.

This Bold Sneaker Collab Was Inspired by Dancers

If you couldn’t tell by now, we love sneakers. They’re comfortable, versatile, and becoming ever-more stylish, which is why we eagerly follow any news about upcoming releases so we can report the most up-to-date information back to you. Just this morning, Vogue.co.uk released an exclusive interview with the newest designer to team with Puma on a new collection of (amazing!) sneakers.

According to the site, Sophia Webster, a London-based designer who won the BFC/Vogue Fashion Fund award in 2016, is the latest in the fashion world to collaborate with the German sportswear company. Sophia, who is known for her colorful, tropical footwear will translate some of her distinctive styles onto the sneakers, including her signature butterfly design.

But this collection is slightly different from others she’s done in the past, especially because she had to ensure the “fit and functionality” of the trainers was spot on. In the interview with the magazine, Sophia explained this collection was “dance-inspired.” And when asked who she would most love to see sporting the Puma x Sophia Webster pieces, she mentioned a dancer who has surely popped up your own Instagram feed.

There is a dancer I follow on Instagram called Jade Chynoweth who I am obsessed with. When she posts a new dancing video, I always watch it a million times over - she is crazy talented! I would love to see her dancing in the collection,” she said.

The collection is set to drop after Labor Day, on Tuesday, September 5. But you’re going to want to act fast—we have a feeling this collection will be a top-seller.

Scroll down to see some of the sneakers in the collection, and then head to Vogue UK to read to complete interview.

The Gossip Girl Cast Just Revealed Juicy Show Details We Never Knew

Gossip Girl premiered 10 years ago next month—can you believe it's been that long since you first obsessed over everything Serena van der Woodsen wore? In honor of the anniversary, Vanity Fair took a deep dive into the show's history, interviewing the cast, producers, and crew to "reflect on the frenzy, contemplate the series’s lasting impact, and, yes, dish on its on-set dramas." Intrigued? So we were. Read on to see the best details we gleaned from the feature.

1. Leighton Meester dyed her hair in the hopes of nabbing the role of Serena.
"Serena had to be blonde," creator Josh Schwartz told Vanity Fair. "So, [Leighton] went to the sink and dyed her hair. She wanted it."

2. Blake Lively almost turned down the Gossip Girl to go to college.
"I said, ‘No, I want to go to college. Thank you, though,'" she told Vanity Fair. "Then they said, ‘O.K., you can go to Columbia [University] one day a week. After the first year [of the show], it’ll quiet down. Your life will go back to normal and you can start going to school. We can’t put it in writing, but we promise you can go.’ So that’s why I said, ‘O.K. You know what? I’ll do this.’” As you might imagine, the show never quieted down, so Lively never enrolled.

3. Lively was worried about her real-life relationship with Penn Badgley—until she came to a realization.
"I remember there was one point where we were just afraid of how our personal lives overlapping our work life could be perceived by our bosses," Lively told the magazine. "[But then] we were like, ‘Oh no, that’s exactly what they want.’ They wanted us all to date. They wanted us all to wear the same clothes that we’re wearing on the show. They wanted that, because then it fed their whole narrative. People could buy into this world."

4. Lively and Badgley successfully hid their breakup from the producers and crew.
"The shocking thing was, I found out on the set of the Season 2 finale that Blake and Penn had broken up months before,” executive producer Joshua Safran said. "They kept the breakup hidden from the crew, which you could never do now. I don’t even know how they did it. They kept it from everybody which is a testament to how good they are as actors. Because they did not want their personal drama to relate to the show."

5. Chuck Bass's wardrobe was anti–Jersey Shore
"Menswear, at that point, was still very Jersey Shore. . . . I’m very proud we got to break through to the men and be like, ‘No, it’s O.K. to dress up,'" costume designer Eric Daman said.

6. Ed Westwick still doesn't know who Gossip Girl was.
"I still am not sure who GG was lol," Westwick wrote Vanity Fair in an email.

This Is How Kate Middleton Honored Princess Diana's Life Today

Tomorrow marks the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana's death. Her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, along with Kate Middleton, honored her memory today with a visit to The Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace, which was planted with beautiful white flowers in dedication to the late icon.

Despite the rainy weather, the trio looked to be in good spirits to celebrate the life of the beloved People's Princess. Middleton chose exactly the right look for a garden visit—Prada's Poppy Silk-Crepe Dress ($2340). Was there any doubt she'd look anything but perfect for the occasion?

Scroll down to see how Prince William, Prince Harry, and Kate Middleton honored the late Princess Diana today.

All of Zara's New Models Are Over 40

Leave it to the notoriously-secret Zara to keep us guessing yet again. The brand has coined its latest collection Timeless, and instead of the usual bevy of youthful models that they employ, they opted to use all over-age 40 models. In the campaign, the established (and stunning) models Malgosia Bela, Yasmin Warsame, and Kristina de Coninck muse about what getting older means to them, and what effect it's had on their style.

The collection is filled with pieces that truly are timeless, meaning that you can wear them no matter what your age and they'll stay in style for years to come. Of the offerings, we especially have our eye on a chic plaid wrap midi skirt, a classic red coat, and a pair of vintage-inspired jeans that look very authentic. It all just goes to show that Zara isn't just for "younger women", and that the brand seems to be making a conscious effort to remind the world of that with this new collection. This is music to the ears of us Zara-loving women who have no desire to stop shopping there when we reach a certain age.

The Outfit Combination Every Fashion Girl Wears on Repeat

I have always associated leather jackets with the edgiest of outfits and thus historically been too intimidated to incorporate them into my wardrobe. Considering their affiliation with biker gangs, facial piercings, tattoo sleeves, and a more general sense of “grunge,” it’s understandable as to why they threaten the comfort zones of even the most stylish girls. For me, one specific image comes to mind, of Gigi Hadid wearing a cropped leather jacket covered in sharp silver studs and styled with skinny jeans and black thigh-high boots. When I saw this outfit while scrolling through Instagram, I acknowledged its trendiness yet couldn’t help but rule it out as something I’d ever wear. However, the timelessness of a motorcycle jacket is something that cannot be denied, along with the level of ease that comes with throwing one on over your shoulders as a last-minute outfit addition.

For those of you who, like me, were hesitant to get on board with the look (even though—let’s face it—leather jackets aren’t going anywhere), try wearing one with a cool graphic T-shirt. This outfit combination is so easy and perfect for a concert, first date, or night out with friends, and we have a handful of street style shots to prove it. The fortunate truth about a basic leather jacket is that it works just as well with a patchwork floral dress as it does with a T-shirt and jeans or an LBD and statement shoes. The classic piece never fails to add an air of effortless cool to any outfit, but we are recommending the graphic tee–and-jacket combo for this fall.

Go on to see some of our favorite street style stars wearing a moto jacket and graphic T-shirt and to shop a few of our favorite combinations for yourself.

This "Extra" Detail Makes an Engagement Ring So Special

It’s not secret that we browse Stephanie Gottlieb’s Instagram page on the regular for the prettiest engagement ring photos. The private jeweler based out of New York constantly posts the dreamiest diamonds as well as educates her followers on diamond fun facts, like what a $50,000 difference looks like in engagement rings and how to decide which engagement ring shape will look best on your finger. Even as someone nowhere near the proposal phase in my life, I find myself double-tapping every photo Gottlieb posts.

The most recent sparkly photo to catch my attention from her feed is the below image, which as Gottlieb points out is “simple from the top and fancy on the side.” The gorgeous ring has pave detail on the side of the ring that “adds a little something extra special that the bride gets to see every time she looks down at her hand.” I had never seen this "special" detail on an engagement ring before and was so intrigued I had to share.

Blake Lively Wore the Perfect Skinny Jeans and Flats to the Airport

If you're a mom to two daughters under the age of three, the airport is not the time to experiment with complicated trends. Blake Lively definitely gets the idea: She was spotted with the whole family at the Toronto airport wearing a laid-back look that was practical but still stylish. She carried her daughter Ines, who will turn one next month, while husband Ryan Reynolds toted James, who will turn three in December. Have you ever seen such a cute family?

We especially love Lively's practical backless loafers—you can easily slip them on and off at security, and they add a hint of polish to a casual skinny jeans outfit.

The One Summer Dress Style You Won't Have to Give Up Come Fall

There are many reasons we're sad to see summer coming to an end—among them, the reality that several of our favorite warm-weather pieces will soon be retired to the back of our closets. One style that'll remain at the forefront? A dark floral printed midi dress.

In case you haven't discovered the versatile piece for yourself, allow us to convince you that you need one. Take Thandie Newton's recently getup for example: Her breezy Ulla Johnson frock shines when worn with woven wedges and see-through sunnies. Once the temperature drops, the hero item also looks great styled with tights, booties, and a sleek coat. A stand-out dress that can be worn year-round? There's no better sartorial investment.

Nina Dobrev Plays Kiss, Marry, Kill: The Trend Version

As we near the end of summer, fashion girls have a gamut of things to look forward to—from fashion week to fall layering and, of course, September issues. Harper by Harper's Bazaar is one to add to your reading list, each issue guest-edited by an influential It girl (the roster includes Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Emily Ratajkowski, Hannah Bronfman, and Alexa Chung for magazine's debut). Actress Nina Dobrev serves as guest-editor and cover star of the September issue of Harper. At the private party presented by Sephora to celebrate the edition, we caught up with Dobrev to discuss her favorite fashion pieces and played a little game of Kiss, Marry, Kill—the trend version.

“I’ll marry skinny jeans," Dobrev admitted with little hesitation. "I could never not wear skinny jeans—I love them so much.” For "kill" it was a bit trickier but Dobrev eventually landed on a controversial trend. “Those clogs—Crocs! I would kill Crocs,” she confessed. “And kiss? Trench coats," she decided. "Every once in a while you feel like a nice Burberry trench coat. But that’s just like per occasion. It’s like a special occasion type of thing.” Kiss, Marry, Kill aside, one particular fashion trend Dobrev spilled that she's loving right now is wearing a jacket over the shoulders, arguably the most stylish way to tackle the oncoming transitional weather. “So that way you can commit to it, not have it, but it’s sort of a little more chic and effortless in my opinion,” explained Dobrev.

Yes, Naked Jeans Are a Thing (and They're Selling Out)

When you think of jeans, you probably think of denim, right? Ask directional New York–based designer Adam Selman that same question, and the answer might not be so cut-and-dried. Selman, a favorite of Rihanna's (no big deal), is known for taking off-duty staples and giving them a cool, unexpected twist. In keeping with the "naked trend" his F/W 17 was collection was filled with embroidered sheer pieces, some of which were more surprising than others, i.e. a pair of completely see-through embroidered tulle jeans.

We saw on Instagram yesterday that the jeans had just hit the shelves, so to speak (see the NSFW proof here),  and lo and behold, people must've been waiting for them since spotting them on the runway in February, as the jeans are nearly sold out! While we'd be willing to bet that most would prefer the denim embroidered jeans that Bella Hadid wore in the photo above, there's clearly a market for naked jeans. Don't be surprised to see them on one of Selman's many celebrity fans soon.

Spotted at the Victoria's Secret offices for her VS Fashion Show fittings, the model wore Dolce Vita's Harvey Heels ($130) with a coordinating bodysuit and denim miniskirt. This Shoe Trend Looks So Good With Jeans

Gigi Hadid is back in the spotlight after she officially confirmed this week that she'll be walking the upcoming Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Now that she's returned, this naturally means she'll be coming to you with all the daily style inspiration you need, just in time for fall. (Feel free to breathe a sigh of relief.)

Yesterday, the star was spotted in New York City wearing a rather casual, but very on-trend look that we guarantee will be your go-to next season. Hadid sported a classic pair of light denim jeans, a crisp white tee and bright red mules that definitely turned heads in the Big Apple. To complete her outfit, the model carried a matching red leather and mink Fendi bag, which brought everything together perfectly.

Her ensemble made a subtle, effortless statement and is a step up from the standard black boot everyone starts wearing when the leaves change. Stand apart from the crowd and copy Hadid's look below. Don't worry, we already picked out a few scarlet colored mules you'll immediately fall in love with.
