My Cart Is Full Of Forever21 Sandals, And It's Only $84

Of all of the "things" one can love most in the fashion world, shoes have always been "my thing." I live for cute shoes, and am constantly looking for ways to add fresh, on-trend styles to my shoe wardrobe without breaking the bank. Enter: Forever 21. We all know they make budget-friendly pieces, but their shoe game in particular has been *insanely*, mind-bogglingly good lately. What's more, they're not just inexpensive; they're the two things that most inexpensive shoes are not: they look expensive (their appearance in person does not belie their price), and they are sincerely comfortable.

Though I'd been a fan of their footwear department since Who What Wear's market editor, Nicole Akhtarzad turned me on to a pair of amazing mules back in 2015, my interest was reawakened recently when I met up with someone for drinks and noticed the outrageously cute frayed denim cross-over slides on her feet. When I exclaimed at their cuteness and asked her where she got them, I was fully expecting to hear that they were $300 Loeffler Randalls, or something along those lines. When she said she got them for $20 bucks at Forever 21, I hit the site immediately and found them along with a host of other slides that look easily ten times their price and are so of-the-moment.

Keep scrolling to see what I mean, and shop the shoes yourself.

Is This the 2017 Way to Wear Birkenstocks?

Birkenstocks may fall into the so-called "ugly shoe" category, but that hasn't stopped fashion girls from breaking them out summer after summer. But, while these under-$100 sandals have remained a seasonal staple, what to wear them with is constantly changing. Our latest source of inspiration comes courtesy of Toni Garrn. While in Cannes, the model put a fresh twist on summer style by pairing the casual sandals with a sophisticated slip dress.

While the high-low combination might not be an outfit that first comes to mind, there's something oh-so-refreshing about the combination. For daytime, the sandals, along with simple layered gold necklace make the slip feel just relaxed enough. And while it would be easy to swap in heels to take the ensemble into the evening, if you're a stickler for comfort, we'd just keep things simple and stick with the Birkenstocks. Bottom line: this is the coolest way to wear our favorite easy summer sandals this year!

Are These the Worst Shoes to Wear to the Airport?

Kendall Jenner is no stranger to polarizing airport looks. (Remember those naked pants?) For her latest travel look, she went for something a little more borrowed-from-the-boys than the sheer pants and top, courtesy of a denim jacket, tee, and track pants. Jenner's outfit seemed comfortable and appropriate for air travel, unlike many of the dressy looks that celebs choose (we're looking at you, Victoria Beckham). But then we saw her feet, which were clad with strappy stiletto sandals. While they added a sleek feminine touch to the sporty look, we're not sure there's a more difficult shoe style to wear to the airport. They're not exactly made for trekking down long terminals and getting them off and back on will delay the process of making it to your gate on time. In fact, there are photos of Jenner removing the heels after setting off the alarm when going through security.

Our verdict? Although Jenner looked incredibly cool (per usual), unless you want to be stopped by TSA, you might want to pair your travel look with footwear that's a bit more convenient and comfortable, like backless mules or slip-on sneakers.

You Tell Us: Is Rihanna Wearing Shoes in Her Latest Look?

Rihanna's style is notoriously impeccable, both at red carpet events and airports alike. This week, she took her sense of fashion to another level by wearing a naked shoe (yes, you read that right).

After attending a fashion launch in Los Angeles, Rihanna stepped out in a white off-the-shoulder dress, neon yellow nails, and a pair of barely there shoes. The straps of her heels were see-through, giving the illusion that she wasn't wearing any shoes at all.

Rihanna is hardly the first to wear this type of shoe. Naked shoes have been a trend for months now, both on celebrities and on store racks, so we aren't surprised to see that Rihanna is wearing a pair herself.

Check out Rihanna's look below, and pay extra attention to her naked shoes.
