4 Style Moves We're Stealing From This Malaysian Star

A few days ago, we spotted an unfamiliar name in familiar territory. Vogue brought Elmira Loy to our attention, calling her "Malaysia’s Answer to Selena Gomez." But while 23-year-old Loy has certainly gained major celebrity, thanks to over 10 years of acting experience—for shows including Qalesya, Waktu Rehat, and Demi Dia, in case you’re familiar— what stood out to us instantly was her experience in piecing together looks. Instantly we took notes.

While Loy, who is Muslim and wears a hijab regularly, has a modest sense of style the appeal of her outfits is really quite universal. And in particular, we found four clever tricks across the actress-turned-fashion-designer's Instagram that will help inform our own future looks.

Scroll down to meet the Malaysian star, follow along with her creative layering firsthand, and shop one of Loy's go-to trends, the statement sleeve.

Emrata Wore Zara in Italy—Again

Whenever someone famous wears Zara, it feels like the heavens have finally opened up as we instantly feel affirmed in our abnormal love of the fast-fashion brand. Well, while on a picture-perfect vacation on the coast of Italy, Emily Ratajkowski (or Emrata for those of you who solely go by Instagram names) wore Zara multiple times. Is this not the most relatable thing a celebrity has one on social media in a while? Or is it just me who does a massive Zara haul before every single trip I go on?

First, she posted this idyllic poplin wrap dress that, of course, quickly sold out. Next, up, she showed off a pair of silk floral pants that are currently only available on Zara Spain's website (don't worry, link is below). After a little more stalking via her boyfriend's account (oops), we saw that the aforementioned pants also come with a matching blazer. Are you dead, or are you dead? Basically, if Emily can rock Zara more than once while on vacation, then the rest of the world definitely can.

Go on to see every single one of Emily Ratajkowski's Italy-approved Zara looks.

The Wedding Everyone in Australia Is Talking About

Who doesn’t love browsing through weddings on Instagram? We’ve done our share of scrolling through hashtags where we know absolutely no one in attendance yet somehow end up deep in their photos from the big day (proof here). Thanks to Vogue Australia we have another wedding to browse. The publication recently featured Stellar’s editor Gemma Keil and Patrick Faucher’s relaxed Mornington Peninsula wedding.

According to Vogue Australia’s Instagram it was the site’s most popular story of the week, so obviously we’re not alone when it comes to being fascinated by a stranger’s gorgeous wedding photos. After a little digging we learned the bride wore a Preen by Thornton Bregazzi gown and Rene Caovilla shoes, check out the stunning bridal look below.

Malia Obama Found the Perfect Shoes for Your Summer Dresses

Where in the world are the Obamas? Michelle and Barack were spotted in Italy last month, but now they have the entire family in tow for their next destination: Bali, Indonesia. Malia and Sasha joined their parents for a trip to the tropical country, where they've been showing off cute outfits.

On Wednesday, Malia wore a pretty blue shirtdress with the perfect summer shoes: two-strap tan leather sandals, which will go with every look under the sun. Plus, her cute frock resembles the ladylike HVN versions every It girl from Kate Bosworth to Emma Roberts has been wearing this summer.

On Tuesday, Michelle and her daughters wore matching traditional Balinese sarongs along with T-shirts and baseball caps. What more could you need for a casual day of sightseeing?

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Gave Her New Baby a Very 1920s Name

While Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has been displaying one of the chicest examples of maternity style over the last few months, we’re even more excited to report that the model has welcomed a baby boy. And just as she announced her pregnancy on Instagram, she also took to social media to introduce the latest member of her and fiancĂ© Jason Statham’s family.

“Our little man arrived!” the model posted. “Jack Oscar Statham 8.8lbs on Saturday June 24th.” While her first child has quite the charming combination of short, classic names, Jack also happens to be bit retro. According to Names.org, Jack is a name that was most popular in 1927. Now, 90 years later, it may be a little less ubiquitous but clearly a favorite of a trendsetter like Rosie.
