The Back of Mandy Moore's Red Carpet Dress Is So Unexpected

Last night was the moment every This Is Us fan was waiting for: the premiere of season two. Of course, the cast was ready to celebrate too. All of the stars walked the red carpet in honor of the premiere, and Mandy Moore's Rosie Assoulin dress caught our eye in particular.

With punchy color-blocking and a cool brocade pattern, the front of the dress was beautiful, but as she turned around, we realized the back was even more special. The  frock looked totally different from behind: the 3-D floral detailing on her left side was on full display, and the bright orange color was swapped for white. In other words, it was definitely a red carpet home run.

NYC and Paris Girls Will Both Wear This for Fall

If New York women and Parisians were to agree on one thing, it might be that a great jacket can transform an entire outfit. So, it's not surprising that iconic NYC outerwear brand Schott has teamed up with French contemporary brand Maje on a collection of outerwear and basics that while cool, have a subtly feminine touch. Details like contrasting furry sleeves and punches of rose gold make the six pieces feel especially luxe.

Starting today, the collection is available to shop both in-store and online, which means that before temperatures drop for good, you can pick up a little something to keep you cozy in style. Worn with a pair of high-waisted jeans and cool ankle boots, these pieces will instantly dress up a simple seasonal ensemble. And with both a nod to French-girl style, and the New York aesthetic, no matter where you live, you'll be dressed to impress.

Everyone Loves This Fall Trend, Including a 78-Year-Old Icon

If you haven't yet seen the 1970s classic Love Story, then it's definitely time you watch it. Not only is it considered one of the most romantic films of all time (it's ranked in the ninth spot by the American Film Institute), but it was also the movie in which a beautiful young actress stole the hearts of everyone who watched her on screen. And now she's back, once again stealing your heart (and inspiring your fall wardrobe) in an interview with Porter.

The iconic actress? None other than 78-year-old Ali McGraw. And in this exclusive interview, she opens up about her marriage to Steve McQueen (who starred opposite her in Love Story), women's liberation, and rejecting the expectations of Los Angeles.

McGraw knows that things in today's Hollywood are not like they were in the '70s. With an ever-growing presence of technology (and cell phones), celebrities are under constant public surveillance. "The reality now is we live in an era where everybody can photograph you anywhere you are, have it published and get paid thousands of dollars," she says about celebrity culture today. "In the 1970s, we had clumps of paparazzi and you knew where they were – in front of certain hotels or whatever."

After leaving behind her life in Hollywood, McGraw focused her attention on feminism. “I think the hope of the planet is women," she shares with the magazine. "And there is room for all kinds of us. Fist-clenching rage-a-thons are not me, but I respect that – and those who choose hope and connection.”

Her very inspiring words go along with a series of stunning photos (and outfits) shot in the New Mexico desert. But there was one look, in particular, that really caught our attention. Leaning against a wall, McGraw is dressed in what we're officially considering the most ageless outfit combo: a blazer and a pair of jeans—two wardrobe staples that truly transcend time and age.

Keep reading to see the stunning photos of Ali McGraw and then shop some of our favorite blazers perfect for re-creating her timeless look.

The Chicest Black Dress Is Hiding at Forever 21

Whether you’re shopping online or in-store, there’s no better feeling when you find something really really good at Forever 21. Case in point: the below black dress. While I was working on an affordable workout clothes story this morning, I was browsing F21’s new arrivals section and came across this $58 dress, which comes in two similar but different styles. The velvet minidress is an online exclusive and stock is already running low in most sizes for both styles. While the front of the LBD is simple and sleek, the back of the dress detailed in (faux) pearl straps is where it’s at. Whether you opt for the style with the bow-back or the option with the drapey, exposed back, either way this under-$100 find is quite the steal. Plus, it would make for the perfect addition to your holiday party dress rotation.

Keep reading to shop the chic LBD from Forever 21.

So, It Looks Like This Trend From 2005 Is Back

In 2005, Kaia Gerber was a mere 4-year-old and likely doesn’t remember that bubble skirts were the item you bought for school dances and to go to Sweet 16 parties. But on the runway this evening for Saint Laurent, Gerber was one of the models who put the style back on the map in a big way. A literal big way.

Staged right by the Eiffel Tower, which glistening behind the runway, the show featured a collection of oversized, bubbled silhouettes. Most were mini skirts that cropped right at the thigh, while other voluminous designs were placed elsewhere on the body. Of course, the skirts felt especially nostalgic for anyone who’s old enough to have lived through one (or more) trend cycles. However, whether you’ve sported the silhouette in the past or are willing to give it a first shot, Anthony Vaccarello’s Saint Lauren version is one that’s not for the faint of heart.

If you dare, take a look at the styles up close, below.
