Selena Gomez's appearance at the first ever InStyle Awards this week had us recalling a trend that we hadn't seen in almost a decade... The bubble skirt. In case you need a refresher, what defines a bubble skirt (also referred to as a tulip skirt) is its short hemline that gathers to make a ballon silhouette. So who's responsible for this potential bubble skirt comeback, you ask? None other than Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquière. The designer sent Gomez's look down the runway as part of the fashion house's recent S/S 16 collection. Fittingly, she donned the look when accompanying Ghesquière at the InStyle Awards, where he received the honor of designer of the year.
