The Top 5 Things Everyone Is Talking About From the Dior Show

The Christian Dior show is always a highly anticipated event around the WWW office, and today’s show managed to make us fall even more in love with the storied house. The first look debuted on the runway—a fencing jacket and knickerbockers—indicated a slight perspective change that carried through the show. While still nodding to the feminine and ladylike heritage of the house, the brand’s new creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri seems to be looking at the “Dior woman” through a wider lens. Sports-inspired pants, sneakers, and even a pair of jeans were shown alongside dreamy dresses to reflect Chiuri’s sentiment that “there is that there is not one kind of woman.”

Whoa: This British Girl Looks Exactly Like Audrey Hepburn

Audrey Hepburn may have reached peak fame back in the '50s and '60s with iconic movies like Breakfast at Tiffany's and Sabrina, but her legacy continues to this day. From her impeccable style to her charming looks, she remains one of the biggest Hollywood movie stars six decades later. There have been plenty of imitators over the years—Halloween costumes, anyone?—but we happened to come across one British girl whose resemblance to Hepburn is especially striking.

One glance at Charlotte Tighe's chic Instagram account and we think you'd agree: She could easily pass as Audrey Hepburn's twin. From her doe eyes to her petite frame, her features already resemble the '50s star, but Tighe's hair and outfits inspired by Hepburn seal the deal. Her retro looks perfectly pay homage to Hepburn—you'd be wise to start following her chic Instagram account pronto.

12 Pairs of Chic Track Pants to Wear Instead of Leggings

Who would have thought in 2016 that a quick search for “track pants” on Net-a-Porter, the worlds leading luxury e-retailer, would bring up 92 results. What makes it even more interesting is that despite a general rise in the market for athletic-wear, most of these results are not from strictly athletic-wear brands.

That's right. While the Adidas Supergirl track pants you saw in the opening image of this story are as cool as ever in our eyes, it's not just Adidas making the style anymore. Should you be interested, you can pick up a pair by ChloĆ©, Sonia Rykiel, Zara, or even a newly revived Juicy Couture.

So, if you're over your leggings by now, or simply want a new pant style that can be dressed up or down with ease, shop our picks below!

The Biggest Baby-Name Trends Among the Fashion Crowd

Perhaps we're biased, but fashion is one of the most creative sectors, which naturally translates to insiders' individual personal lives as well. And there's one very important way in particular that industry folk love to flex their creative muscles: baby names.

Baby names go in and out of style just quickly as fashion trends do (although thankfully not as quickly), and what was "in" 10 years ago is quite possibly a rarity in 2016. Curious as to what the current baby name trends are among prominent members of the fashion industry, we did our research and narrowed the findings down to four key trends that they're partial to right now.

And they might not be what you'd expect. While you'd think French and designer-inspired baby names would be the norm, we found that it's not really the case these days. But given the cyclical nature of the world, everyone will probably be naming their kids Chanel and Alessandro in coming years.

This Trend Will Make You Rethink the Mini Bag

The last several seasons we’ve focused on the mini bag as a staple accessory every fashion girl should own. And while we still stand by that sentiment, this season we’ve seen an influx of jumbo-size totes that have us making extra room in our wardrobes for these oversize beauties. Designer labels like CĆ©line and Gucci have introduced these bag silhouettes and now high-street labels like Zara and Mango are joining the fun. See below for inspiring ways to style this larger-than-life piece, and if you're in the market to add one to your accessory collection, shop our curated picks!

The Most Stylish Sex and the City Star, According to Alexa Chung

While we’ve quizzed you on which Sex and the City star most reflects your style, if you had to dub one of the ladies as the most stylish, who would it be? Carrie? Charlotte? Samantha? Or Miranda? While most would jump in quickly and confidently with Carrie Bradshaw—Alexa Chung has a different opinion. While recently playing a little game of Would You Rather on Vogue’s snapchat, the British celebrity named Samantha as her number one. “I think, weirdly, Samantha had the better wardrobe. I know it seems like a shocker but that’s true. So, Samantha,” Chung responded. If you asked us, we’d live in Bradshaw’s shoe closet. But then again Samantha’s accessories never disappoint. Either way, each SATC star has incredible and covetable style and we’d be thrilled to swap (or just simply browse) any of their wardrobes.

This "Dowdy" Pants Style Is Set for a Return

One of the very latest trends to emerge is somewhat unexpected, but it's a classic nonetheless. If you've ever found yourself wondering what ever happened to khaki pants, there's no longer a need to ask that question. Many designers' S/S 17 collections, from Dries van Noten to Rag & Bone, have featured "dowdy" chinos, most often in the form of wide-leg styles or as part of a two-piece suit. Vogue covered the theme today, pointing out that the "straightlaced" trousers are being styled with more attitude than ever before. An explanation for the resurgence of khakis could be attributed to the safari theme that's been running through the S/S 17 collections.

We found one street style example in particular of a fresh way to style khaki pants. Giovanna Battaglia recently tucked a Hawaiian-style shirt into a pair of cropped and pleated corduroys, adding a belt and a pair of colorful heels. It's a perfect example of how to make khaki pants appropriate for 2016.

Gigi Hadid's $91 Velvet Coat Is the Coolest Thing You'll Buy This Fall

Gigi Hadid just landed at Paris Fashion Week, and you can rest assured we'll keep our eyes peeled for each of her looks to come. Models and celebrities always seem to step it up a notch when in the City of Light, Hadid included. Her outfit of choice for her arrival at today's Balmain show was no exception, and it caught our attention because it featured fall's hottest trend (velvet) in fall's consistently hottest hue (camel). We were also intrigued by the fact that it was an elongated version of a bomber jacket. Hadid paired her favorite outfit combination, a duster over a crop top, with another one of her signatures, destroyed jeans. Surprisingly, the expensive-looking jacket is under-$100 and not yet sold out. If you're in the market for a layering piece to elevate any outfit this season, we advise springing for this one today (before it inevitably sells out).

The Newest It Bag Straight From ChloƩ 's S/S 17 Runway

Few other labels have procured the amount of covetable it bags in recent years past quite like ChloĆ©. One mention of “Drew”, “Faye”, or “Hudson”, and any fashion girl can quickly guess which Parisian brand you’re referring to. It’s gotten to the point that each season #ChloĆ©Girls anxiously await the latest purse to hit the catwalk so they can begin fantasizing (and saving up for) what they’ll be carrying in a few months time.

So what’s the bag for spring 2017? The “Nile” bracelet bag. The half-moon silhouette combined with a circular metal handle and delicate studded details is just about the most beautiful thing we’ve seen all fashion month. Scroll down to see it in delicious colorways of white, caramel, mustard, and more, and don’t forget to check out the entire runway show at the end, too.

Kate Bosworth Shares 3 Things She'll Be Wearing All Fall

When it comes to hollywood's most stylish women, Kate Bosworth makes my short list. It doesn't matter if the actress is dressing for the Met Gala, or is simply out running errands, it's clear she's passionate about fashion. From the moment our interview at the #GiltLife house began, my sneaking suspicions about her fashion genius were confirmed. As I asked Bosworth about current trends, she thoughtfully touched on some of my favorite moments from New York fashion week as well, noting the sense of playfulness at Altuzarra, and the art of Rodarte.

As our conversation continued, Bosworth eagerly shared a few of her favorite trends for fall, along with her love of denim, including an adorable story about how she found the perfect pair of vintage boyfriend jeans (hint, they were handed down from someone special).

Tights Are Out—This Is What We're Wearing Instead

One thing you can't survive fall without is clever layering. While we admit a dress and tights look great together, there are only so many times you can pull off the same look before you're totally bored. When you’re digging through your closet trying to decide what to pair together, sometimes it takes a little fresh inspiration to change things up. Which is why we've been pleasantly surprised by one of fashion week's biggest trends—dresses worn over pants. Style stars have put their own spins on the style in just about every city. Some combinations feel great for every day, like jeans and a shirtdress. Others are more unexpected, wide-leg trousers with a midi for example. What makes this trend particularly appealing is that depending on what you pull from your wardrobe, it can feel casual or fancy. Plus, it's a great way to breathe new life into old staples.

A Fashion-Forward Way to Wear an Animal Print Coat

One of the pieces our editors look forward to taking out of storage for fall is an animal print coat. The classic outerwear can worn in an endless amount of ways, but to keep it looking fresh we like to keep an eye out for new inspiration on how to wear it. Low and behold, we came across this fashion-forward take on the coat and we are are so on board with the styling.

To pull it off, all you'll need is four key pieces, and the best part is you probably already have them in your closet. Layer a leopard or cheetah print coat of your choice over a black turtleneck knit and slouchy boyfriend jeans, then complete with a structured two-toned leather bag and mule loafers.

Fall Styling Advice From Fashion's Most Important Icons

Fashion moves fast in 2016. We understand that in order to keep up with the times one must always be thinking and moving forward. Progressive, you might say. However, we think it’s equally important to be analytical about the past in order to understand the present; after all, trends are cyclical, right? Whether it’s educating yourself on the history behind current staples like the trench coat (ahem, Burberry) or keeping an extensive log of iconic films that continue to influence designers, it’s all about the backstory.

To help prove our point, we picked out a few of our favorite style icons and researched their past looks to uncover trends that are relevant for the F/W 16 season. As expected, we found plenty. Thankfully, the contemporary interpretations of these trends aren’t identical to their erstwhile counterparts, rather they're an extension that we now see is rooted in historical significance. And on the more surface level? They’re simply inspiring ways to wear a few fun trends! Scroll down to see and shop our picks.

Tired Of Your Jeans & Tee Routine? See: Kate Bosworth

The truth is: No one’s really tired of the oldie-but-goodie pairing of jeans and a white tee. Not James Dean. Not Jane Birkin. Not us. But we’re certainly on board with upgrading the timeless look and Kate Bosworth’s latest iteration does just that.

Stepping out in New York, the actress and modern-day style muse showed off three simple steps to making a tried-and-true combination feel fresh. Follow along below.

Step 1: Choose a traditional piece with a twist. In this case, it was the M.i.h. Arrow pant ($285), a cropped jeans with a dual-zipper, sailor waistband.

Step 2: Master a tricky (but far-from impossible) styling move, like the one-shoulder jacket sling. Pro tip: best for not-so-windy days.

And finally, step 3: Polish it off with a power accessory. Bosworth's Paco Rabanne Patterned Chainmail Neck Scarf ($140) hits the mark in every way.

Check out the full classic-outfit upgrade, below.

Wear This to Look More Stylish at the Airport

When it comes to airport style, Miranda Kerr doesn't really do athleisure. The model routinely wears an outfit for travel days, making her a continual source for outfit inspiration. Case in point: her latest look for an arrival at LAX. Kerr wore three major current trends that combined to form one perfect outfit—a choker, bell-sleeve top, and that coveted Gucci belt. She opted to pair them with the more classic cropped jeans and ankle boots.

While her look may not work for the girl who prefers to travel in leggings and sneakers, if you're headed somewhere right after you land and want to impress or if you simply want to travel in style (because why not?), this outfit formula is definitely worth a try this fall. We're predicting that it's only a matter of time before we spot Kerr adding a pair of her fiancĆ©'s new Snapchat Spectacles to her airport look…

Elle Fanning Found the Chicest Item on All of ASOS

We wouldn't blame you if you feel overwhelmed when you go to ASOS's site. The e-tailer has an enormous selection of clothes, shoes, accessories, and everything else under the sun—and every last piece is stylish and reasonably priced. So how's a girl supposed to sort through the wares? Well, we kindly suggest turning to Elle Fanning for advice.

The preternaturally well-dressed 18-year-old attended a Los Angeles dinner in celebration of the site's new fall/winter and holiday collections, where she donned ASOS White's Structured Jumpsuit With Frill Sleeve ($121). The jumpsuit looks way more expensive than it is, thanks to the statement sleeves and on-trend wide-leg silhouette. She also upped the ante with colorful embellished sandals, resulting in a chic, fashion-forward look we love. So what are you waiting for? This jumpsuit is calling your name!

The Founder of Zara Has a Super-Chic Daughter

You've probably heard about Amancio Ortega, the founder of Zara who is the second richest man in the world (surpassed only by Bill Gates). But how much do you know about his daughter, Marta Ortega Perez? As it turns out, the 32-year-old has insanely chic personal style—and we rounded up some amazing outfits to prove it. Whether she's dressed up or down, she seems partial to feminine pieces, including an embellished dress from last summer's Zara collection and a curve-hugging white gown.

We wouldn't blame you if you aren't familiar with her, as she keeps a relatively low profile. What we do know about her is she's a competitive horseback rider who specializes in showjumping. Plus, Forbes reports that she is likely being groomed to take over the company after her father, so don't be surprised if you see lots more of her in the future.

The High-Fashion Way to Color Clash

Spring is the season for embracing color, and no one has proven that quite so boldly as Rochas. For S/S 17, the French fashion house sent a collection of floaty, feminine looks down the runway in what can only be described as a rainbow of colors. Green gloves were paired with a pale pink ensemble while a yellow dress was layered over a pink skirt and finished with blue platforms—this might sound over the top, but on the runway it works. This is the high-fashion way to color clash, and if you're asking us, it's a must try.

Read on to see the show, then shop current pieces from Rochas!

No One Saw This "Ugly" Shoe Trend Coming

Now that we all know why everyone is buying "ugly" shoes and have faced the fact that they're likely here to stay for awhile, it's time to talk about the next big trend within the "ugly" umbrella. While this one is yet to hit the celebrity and street style sets (although we expect to see them everywhere by the time the next fashion month rolls around), the number of designers and cool retailers that are getting on board with the trend is undeniable. Curious to know what it is? Wallabees! The moccasin-style lace-up desert boots originated in the 1960s, thanks to Clarks. While typically worn by men, womenswear designers have fully embraced them for fall 2016. We did a little research to lead us to the conclusion that this niche style is well on its way to becoming the next big "ugly" shoe trend.

For starters, Alexander Wang showed an ankle boot version of the style on his fall 2016 runway (the Selma Boot), and it's currently nearly sold-out on the designer's website in both camel and black. Secondly, celeb-favorite designer Ulla Johnson created a pink velvet iteration for fall, which is sold-out on both her site and on Shopbop. Additionally, expertly curated e-tailer La GarƧonne just added Clarks Wallabees to their footwear selection (among the Acne Studios and Marni options), and Zara recently added its own version of the style to its collection. And last but not least, Vogue covered the style earlier in September. That's all the convincing we need that it's time to purchase a pair of wallabees.

Keep scrolling to shop our favorite wallabees, and let us know what you think of the polarizing trend in the comments at the end!

How Taylor Swift Styles Ankle Boots for a Girls' Night Out

What does Taylor Swift wear for a night on the town with her pals? As it turns out, it may be a similar to what you wore last weekend: a little black dress and ankle boots. (Except her shoes happen to be an enviable pair from Christian Louboutin.) She styled the basics with a drapey trench coat and Etro's Leather Crossbody Bag with Jacquard Details ($2000), resulting in the perfect low-key look for after dark.

Swift joined a high-powered group of women, including Cara Delevingne, Suki Waterhouse, Lorde, and others, at the famed Waverly Inn in New York City. For the occasion, Delevingne also opted for a pair of black peep-toe booties, which she paired with high-waisted jeans, a crop top, and a navy bomber jacket. Could they be any chicer of a duo?

So Kate Moss Has a Good Singing Voice—Listen Here

You've seen her face plastered on nearly every major fashion campaign in existence, but how often have you heard her give an IRL interview? And better yet, how often have you heard her show off her singing voice? The famously press-shy model is extremely selective when it comes to appearances and interviews, but she made an exception to participate in a new podcast for legendary photographer Mario Testino, where the duo chatted about some of their most memorable photo shoots together.

Our favorite part of the podcast comes at the two-minute mark, where they're referencing an image from W magazine in 1995. "This is when we composed that song," Testino reminisced. They then burst into song together—and it's just as glorious as it sounds.

The podcast is part of Testino's just-launched site, Mira Mira, which also features never-before-seen photos, behind-the-scenes images from his famous Towel Series, and more. It's safe to say we'll be refreshing the site for more supermodel exclusives like this one.

Anthony Vaccarello Just Won for Best Front Row at Saint Laurent

How does a new creative director make a splash at his first fashion week debut for one of the most iconic brands in history? Well, one of Europe’s most famous fashion icons and her two famous daughters in the front row isn’t a bad start.  That’s right, Jane Birkin, along with her daughters, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doullon, coordinating in Saint Laurent-approved black-and-white nearly stole the show in Paris last night—until it started, of course.

Minutes later, when the catwalk began, the world got it’s first look at AV for SL and it instantly became clear that while Heidi Slimane will be missed, it is definitely not the end of this successful era for the highly-revered brand. From their iconic tuxedos, to party dresses, to the most covetable leather pieces, Vaccarello struck the perfect balance between paying homage to the house’s heritage, while simultaneously making it his own.
