When you're in the market to buy something new, where's the first place you look? Well, if you're anything like the shoppers who participated in a new study, you make a beeline for one online shop in particular: Amazon.
Fortune magazine reported on a study conducted by internet marketing company BloomReach, which surveyed 2000 people. The fascinating findings: A whopping "55% of online shoppers check Amazon first when they're searching for a product," explains Fortune. And the news gets even better for Amazon: The impressive percentage represents an 11% increase from 2015's study, proving that the mega-retailer shows no signs of slowing down.
The next source came in a distant second place: Only 28% of the survey's participants turn to a search engine to find a product, and 16% of shoppers rely on specific retailers. Head over to Fortune to learn about the rest of the findings.
