Two of your favorite brands are joining forces: J.Crew has teamed up with New Balance to launch the retailer's very first activewear line. Of course, since we're talking about two beloved brands, the resulting collection is insanely chic—from the colorful leggings to the cool sports bras, the entire line is stylish and performance-ready.
In a statement, J.Crew's head of women's design, Somsack Sikhounmuong, explained the impetus behind the new wares: “This collection was a natural extension of our New Balance collaboration which we’ve have been doing for years. To me it uses a palette of J.Crew color and classic sensibility with New Balance know how and expertise.”
New Balance's VP of apparel, Deirdre Fitzgerald, pointed out in a press release that this activewear line takes their collab to the next level. “The launch of the New Balance x J.Crew collection is an exciting addition to our women’s business this season," she said in a statement. "Our two brands have worked together on lifestyle footwear for many years, and the evolution of the partnership will reveal a unique collection of performance apparel and footwear grounded in an aesthetic of timeless athletic chic.”
