Nike’s newest sock sneakers are sort of a blank slate. According to Footwear News, Nike is releasing shoes without its iconic logo for the first time in the brand’s long history. But don’t worry just yet; this means there is something super cool in store for you, especially if you love DIYing.
Footwear News also reported that Nike’s Special Projects design team was unable to decide where to place the Swoosh branding on the new Nike Gakou Flyknits sneakers, which they then decided would be left up to the customers. For the first time ever, Nike will include a DIY stencil kit with every purchase, leaving the creative vision completely up to you.
So, was there ever a time you wished the Swoosh was placed somewhere else on the shoe? Well, now’s your chance to start thinking about the color and placement of it before they are officially available for purchase on August 24.
