Selena Gomez Is "Really Proud" of Her New Coach Design

It’s that time of year again: When Hollywood stars grace the cover of magazines’ September issues, looking stunning and opening up about their personal lives and latest career endeavors. For its September 2017 cover, InStyle chose a star that managed to do just that. Who is the gorgeous, yet candid lady? Selena Gomez, of course.

Gomez, photographed by Phil Poynter, smolders on the cover in a starry, millennial pink Coach 1941 dress—what could be more fitting for a 25-year-old Coach ambassador? Nothing. Along with a beautiful spread, she serves up a candid interview about her insecurities, love life, childhood in the limelight, and latest entertainment and fashion projects. She discusses where she’s at, both in terms of mental health and career moves, after taking a 90-day break and putting on her “big-girl pants”—“They’re high-waisted,” she jokes.

The biggest reveal of her cover story? Gomez’s latest fashion creation, a handbag she designed in collaboration with Coach, which makes its debut appearance in the photo spread. She talks about the collaboration process with the brand’s executive creative director, Stuart Vevers, and raves, “I’m really proud of what I created.”
