Recently, we came across the Instagram account of Isabella Walsh, professional ballerina with the San Francisco Ballet. Right off the bat, we were impressed with not only her technique, but also her off-duty style. You know, what she wears when she isn't rocking a tutu and pointe shoes. After a few more scrolls through her feed, we realized this prima ballerina has been rocking the ever-booming naked dress trend (a dress that is mainly nude in color or is abnormally sheer) in a way we hadn't seen before—while dancing.
That's right, this ballerina/style icon has proven that the naked dress trend officially transcends It girls and celebrities and has worked its way into the world of dance. Since ballerina style is always something we've admired, seeing the combination of Isabella's graceful movements with the simplicity of a naked dress is giving us all sorts of feels.
