Legendary high-end 5th Avenue New York City department store Bergdorf Goodman just got itself a brand new handbag department following a massive renovation of their main floor. And to celebrate the occasion (which is sure to be a fashion lover's dream destination), 30 designers each created one or more very special exclusive handbag designs to be sold at the store and online.
Melissa Lowenkron, Bergdorf’s SVP and general merchandise manager for women’s handbags, told WWD, “We did very special strong bags, they are not something we are just calling exclusive for the sake of it — that doesn’t speak to being as special as these designs are.” Everyone from Fendi to Balenciaga to Gucci to Loewe took part. It comes as no surprise that some of the bags are already selling out, as every design is extremely limited, with only between 1 and 30 manufactured of each.
