Contributing to the cover’s allure are the pale pink Narciso Rodriguez sheaths worn by Obama and Washington, pared with Parker’s printed frock by Oscar de la Renta. Aptly emblazoned with the words “Power Women,” it is quite the trifecta—albeit an unexpected one. So what brings them together? A really good cause, of course: to bring attention to America’s servicewomen, veterans and military wives, a group which receives very little attention from the greater population.
