While the success of Balmain, Lanvin, and Isabel Marant's previous collaborations will undoubtedly be a tough act to follow, H&M revealed this morning that they're placing their bets on yet another French brand for this year's limited-edition designer collection—KENZO! Designed by creative directors since 2011 Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, KENZO is known for its colorful bold prints, modern construction, and iconic graphic tees, which should make for a big departure from last year's primarily black and gold Balmain x H&M collection. H&M shared their reason for choosing the brand in a statement to WWD, saying “Global influences and traditions are remixed and fused with the energy of the street, resulting in collections that are both inspirational and accessible to their fans around the world. At KENZO, fashion expresses freedom, joy, and individuality for all.” The collection will be sold in 250 H&M stores and online on November 3. Start gearing up for the mayhem now.
