How many pairs of Converse sneakers have you owned in your lifetime? If you're anything like us, it's probably more than you'd care to admit. Now, there's a brand-new style you'll want to add to your collection—and it's a lot different than all of your other Converse kicks.
Nike has announced that Converse will be launching sneakers that utilize Nike's signature Flyknit technology. (Nike, by the way, owns Converse—hence the joining of forces.) Debuting on April 27, the shoes will be available on Nike's website for $110.
As Nike explains, "Flyknit technology was inspired by feedback from runners seeking a shoe with the snug (and virtually unnoticed) fit of a sock...The result is a featherweight, formfitting and virtually seamless upper." In other words, these new sneakers combine the look of Converse with the high-tech fabric of Nike—talk about the best of both worlds.
