If you've never shopped in the men's section before, we know exactly where you should start. The online men's retailer, MR PORTER, has launched a series of 12 capsule collections, titled Made in California, and the lineup is very enticing.
The series is a modern take on California surf style and streetwear. It is made up of clothing by American brands with California roots, including AMIRI, Golden Bear, James Perse, John Elliott, Mollusk Surf, Noon Goons, Outerknown, Rick Owens, Second/Layer, Simon Miller, Stüssy and The Elder Statesman.
This collaboration is a huge deal—the capsule collections contain 145 total products, including clothing, shoes, and accessories, and the prices range from $45 to $15,000.
"California has always heavily influenced us from a creative and commercial standpoint at MR PORTER," said Sam Lobban, the senior buying manager at MR PORTER, in a press release. "In response to current trends in men’s wear, and the amount of design talent both based in the region and inspired by its aesthetic and lifestyle, we decided to build our Spring capsule collections around this theme."
Even if menswear isn't typically your thing, a lot of the Made in California clothes can be unisex or great for any man in your life. It's definitely worth checking out.
