Welcome to the latest edition of the series in which we'll cover a variety of basics that we turn to time and time again. We hope that The Basics will help you to build your closet with pieces that you too will wear on repeat without doing harm to your bank account. We already covered the $30 pants that I consider life-changing and the $100 cashmere sweater that makes my wardrobe look expensive, the free leggings everyone was talking about, and the world's most slimming skinny jeans. Next up, I'm sharing my experience with the T-shirt that I've worn more often than any other T-shirt in my life.
As much as I make an attempt to diversify my wardrobe, I just really love T-shirts (hence my collection of 37 and counting). They're versatile and comfortable and are a basic that can make an outfit look surprisingly cool, if it's the right T-shirt, that is. I tried Re/Done's tees made in collaboration with Hanes soon after their debut last year, and I've been a broken record about them ever since.
I'll admit that what initially convinced me that I needed one was the celebrity endorsements by everyone from Kendall Jenner to Elsa Hosk. They just had that perfect fit that I'd been looking for. So I bought one and became instantly hooked. So I bought a few more... and a year later, I have more than 10 Re/Done Hanes tees. And while they're all wonderful and serve different purposes in my wardrobe, there's one, in particular, that I wear the most: the 1950s Boxy Tee. It's slightly cropped without being too cropped, and it's the perfect match for my collection of high-waisted jeans, shorts, trousers, and skirts. I wear it so much that I constantly have to remind myself to show my other tees some love (mainly so that my all-time favorite won't wear out). Ready to see it in action?
Read on to find out exactly what makes Re/Done | Hanes's 1950s Boxy Tee so special, see it on Kendall Jenner, buy one (or 10), and check out (and shop) five outfits I'd wear it with.
