When it comes to jeans, Kendall Jenner isn't one to practice loyalty. While she does tend to favor skinny or vintage silhouettes over all else, when taking into consideration the wash, detailing, or hemlines, her sensibilities are unpredictable. Jenner's are always pushing the envelope and debuting new trends with her denim choices—from graffiti jeans to baggy high-waisted jeans to last year's two-tone denim. Most recently she stepped out in a pair of Vetements jeans from their collaboration with Levi's. Not only did the pair boast zipper detailing and a two-step hem, but they were in a wash of denim we haven't seen enough of in a while—faded black.
This gray colorway, that looks as if your favorite pair of black jeans have been worn in and loved well, plays into our love for things from the past. A staple of '90s sartorial sensibilities, the vintage-looking wash—especially worn high-waisted—perfectly references an earlier time.
