These Celeb-Loves Shoes Never Go on Sale, Except for Today

Tamara Mellon made it clear from the start of her eponymous line: Sales just weren’t in the cards. Her line of celebrity-loved and often worn shoes (seen on the likes of Bella Hadid, Naomie Harris, and Karlie Kloss) is direct-to-consumer and therefore already offered at a more affordable price than shoes of the same quality, says the designer. But today, that’s all changing. Everything is 20% off.

Mellon, the co-founder and former chief creative officer of Jimmy Choo, made an appearance on CBS This Morning to not only announce that she was breaking her own rules but that she’s doing it in honor of today, April 4: Equal Pay Day.

With the issue of pay equity on everyone’s minds, Mellon spoke about her own personal connection to the issue. Specifically, on CBS, she recalled her days at Jimmy Choo in which she was a young businesswoman and earning less than men she employed. And in an effort to recognize the 20% wage gap that currently exists, according to the 2016 U.S. Census Bureau, Mellon has chosen today to put her luxe designs on sale at, naturally, a 20% discount.

Below, take a look at her complete interview from this morning, and shop some of our favorite styles that will be discounted for one day only. Don’t dawdle.
