Is This the New French Girl Style?

Whether you're forever loyal to following French girl style or are completely over both the term and idea, we could all use a little sartorial inspiration refresh from time to time. And there's one region, in particular, that's filled with cool girls with polished, minimal, slightly androgynous, and it's also in Europe. Scandinavia, the region consisting of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland is chock-full of fashion girls, as we pointed out earlier this year, calling it a hotbed for the world's best fashion bloggers.

At the forefront of the Scandinavian style movement is former style blogger and current street style star and Social Zoo creative director Pernille Teisbaek. Which is why we were thrilled to see that she penned a book titled Dress Scandinavian, set for release next month. According to a description from the publisher, the book will offers up "a guide to essential items and styles of Scandinavian fashion". They go into further detail, saying "Pernille guides the reader through androgynous- and minimalistic trends, common colour combinations and a-typical mixes of materials and fabrics. This book includes concrete fashion advice, a practical jeans-fit guide, do’s & don’ts of Scandinavian fashion, as well as Pernille’s personal Top 10 List of Scandi-brands." It's quite possible that this book could cement the fact that Scandinavian girl style is poised to be the next French girl style.
