Selena Gomez and Anna Winter don’t typically travel in the same circles. Let alone, they don’t typically pose for the same Instagram picture. So when the phenomenon happens, it’s only fitting that the response is a big one. And according to Instagram’s own stats, at this past New York Fashion Week, the two very impressive, and very different, style authorities broke a record.
In a roundup of the most impressive Instagram moments from NYFW, the social media app reported that a picture of Gomez and Wintour sitting side by side in the front row at the Coach show garnered the most likes of the week. The post was shared on Gomez’s page (although, to be fair, the artistic director of Condé Nast has no known public account), and it already has 2.4 million double-taps.
Other outstanding Insta-stats from the week also included the top-liked designer Instagram (a sweet family note posted to Victoria Beckham’s account) and model Instagram (Kendall Jenner hanging post-Alexander Wang with ASAP Ferg and Bella Hadid). But admittedly, the snap of Gomez and Wintour is not only the most-liked, but it’s also one of our favorites, especially from such an unexpected twosome.
