The “naked” trend is not slowing down. Not only is it a favorite red carpet choice for celebs, it’s now emerging as a huge trend on the spring 2018 runways. The latest designer to include it in her show? Victoria Beckham. When the very first look came down the runway, we saw that it included included a pastel pink pencil skirt. Not too shocking, until you take a closer look and realize that the skirt is completely sheer.
Victoria Beckham has a pretty incredible styling trick, though, that keeps the gauzy skirt from looking too daring. Layered underneath it is a long checked shirtdress that you can see peeking through. She repeated the same styling idea several times in the show and we have a feeling we’ll be seeing fashion girls trying this out soon.
Always one to stick to her unwavering aesthetic, Victoria Beckham’s Spring/Summer 2018 show included a strong collection of clean, feminine pieces grounded in soft pastels and fluid silhouettes. She made a case for the classic pump and tonal pantsuit—pieces that both drive home a message about female power.
