As excited as we are to see more and more body diversity on runways and in fashion campaigns, recent scientific research suggests this is unfortunately far from being a priority.
Researchers at Indiana University tracked the height, hair color, eye color, waist, hip, shoe and dress sizes of 400 female models in the Fashion Model Directory, along with their modeling agency and the runways they walked, according to Yahoo! Style. All of this information was collected after the New York Fashion Week Spring 2014 collections.
