Couture Fashion Week was hit with a bit of identity theft today. And (perhaps unsurprisingly) the man behind it all is Demna Gvasalia. We spotted it all go down on Instagram this morning as a slew of international editors were posting pictures of their runway show invitations which all seemed to be drivers licenses, passports, etc. from people who were not them.
“The man I always wanted to be,” said Instyle editor-in-chief Laura Brown as she posted a photo of her invitation featuring a 20-something-looking brunette male (ie: clearly not a match). Of course, the rest of the fashion community got a kick out of the unexpected and certainly untraditional take on show invites, too. And looking back now, it was an indication of the incredibly diverse cast that would appear on the couture runway later that day.
Scroll down to see several of the fake IDs that, for today only, served as a totally legit way to attend a fashion week event.
