Confirmed: These Are the Best-Selling Vans Sneakers

Yes, fashion still loves sneakers. In fact, they continue to be a favorite among street style stars, as evidence from this New York Fashion Week has aptly shown us. A sleek, low-top sneaker is the go-to footwear option for dressing down a trend-forward outfit or balancing out an otherwise fancy look. Fashion has found a way of making a retro pair, (like Adidas Stan Smith or Nike Cortez) feel like the coolest thing you can own.

The one sneaker brand that's gotten a major refresh recently is Vans. The line of flat-soled shoes got a major stamp of approval from the fashion world, which perhaps had something to do with the collective decision that skateboard culture was the next best thing. Either way, Vans are doing really well right now and definitely have the whole street style look to thank. We recently learned from the brand which of their sneakers is the best-selling pair, and the answer surprises no one.

"The top selling Vans silhouette for women is the Old Skool," Ashley Ahwah, the brand's, director of global footwear merchandising, told Fashionista. Again, we're seeing that low-top, flat-soled sneaker as the style choice among fashion girls everywhere. Ahwah adds, "However, the beauty of our Classics collection is the style diversity that is offered, giving our consumers additional options like the Authentic and Classic Slip-On, which are also top sellers within the line." Vans certainly knows what they're doing, tapping Karl Lagerfeld to design a collaborative collection of sneakers and offering the Old Skool in more colorways and new finishes.
